During the past one year we have been very satisfied with Homeopathic treatment for our 4 year old daughter Lavanya by online consultation with Dr.Deepak Shah.

We have been living in Silicon Valley, Bay Area, California since June 1999. In February 2001 our daughter was diagonised with a sickness called Nephrotic Syndrome due to which the kidneys have a tendency to let protien from the blood in the urine. It was diagonised during a fever during which her feet got slightly swollen. Her urine tests showed high levels of protien in the range of 3 due to which the protien level in blood had gone down. She was 2 and 1/2 years old then.

We consulted a Pediatric Nephrologist in Stanford Hospital, California. The allopathic treatment was a long course of steroids called Prelone. The steroids had to be given for 12 weeks. She responded to the steroid treatment. However we were not fully Happy because of the side effects of the steroids which caused abnormal weight gain. Moreover the medicine itself was extremely bitter and it was hard for us to administer. The main thing was that this was not a permanent cure.

The condition could show up again after a certain time which was called a relapse. This required testing her urine periodically with a Albustix strips whose color change would indicate protien in urine. We hoped that she would not relapse again but the doctor said that there was a 90% chance of atleast one relapse. She did relapse 6 months later in Aug 2001 and we again had to resort to another Steroid course though for a smaller duration of 6 weeks.

It was then that we started thinking about alternative cure without the use of steroids. My wife Geetha mentioned that She had success with her acne treatment with Dr. Deepak Shah. My brother-in-law also had a successful skin treatment when he was young. So we decided to consult Dr.Shah for our daughter’s health condition during our visit to India in October 2001. She has not had to take steroids since her Homeopathy treatment and her protien levels in urine have showed negative most of the time. Her Pediatric Nephrologist in Stanford was also satisfied with hercondition. We also consult Dr. Shah online when she has common ailments like cold, flu or other infection. She responds well to Homeopathic treatment for these
ailments as well. This is good because we can avoid antibiotics.
